Mt Victoria Newsletter – May 2020 May 4, 2020 We hope you are all keeping well and safe in your bubbles. Here is the Mt Victoria Newsletter for May. MtVictoriaNewsletter-May2020Download Unfortunately, we are still unable to print the newsletter but hope you enjoy our online one. The wonderful thing about it being online is that we can share more items and photos of the things happening in and around our wonderful suburb. We are planning on safely doing a small print run of this newsletter for anyone in our community who may like one. If you know of anyone please email us and we will have one delivered – hello@mtvichub.org.nz If you can share this post with your neighbours and friends in Mt Victoria or beyond please do. We had a great response to our April newsletter and added lots of names to our distribution list. We have quite a few things in the newsletter this month: Innermost Gardens are launching a “Patreon” Page to help with running the gardens. If you are in a position to help please do. Here is a link to their Patreon.com page – Become an Innermost Gardens Patron They provide a wonderful service to our community and so many folks have enjoyed walking through and discovering the gardens during the lockdown. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates and when the compost bins will be reopening. How much have you and your whanau enjoyed the reduction in traffic? Get in touch with your local councillors to have your say about lowering speed limits in Mt Victoria, making it a much more walkable and cyclable place. Also this month we have our Friday evening drinks this coming Friday 8 May and if you love knitting, crocheting, writing check out our Zoom chats coming up on our Facebook page and events. And finally, we are running a Short Story Competition this month with a voucher from Unity Books up for grabs. We hope you enjoy it. Please get in touch if you would like to contribute or help out in any way. hello@mtvichub.org.nz or text/call 021765525 or 04 3901411 Trish and Stella Share on Facebook Share on Twitter
